Magic Lite
We
are pleased to announce the addition of Jozef Simcisko, Project
Manager, to the Magic Lite team. Jozef brings with him a wealth of
lighting knowledge and expertise that will be a great asset to Magic
Lite and our customers. He will work in conjunction with our Inside
Sales team to help further develop our excellent level of customer
service. Jozef will oversee large projects, providing technical
assistance and guidance. In addition to these responsibilities, Jozef
will focus on increasing awareness of his consulting capabilities.

New Durable Docklight
Magic Lite is pleased to announce a new addition to the EFO
family, the Durable Docklight. This is an impact resistant, energy efficient fiber optic dock lighting system with a 10,000 hour lamp life! Utilizing the
revolutionary EFO technology, the Durable Docklight delivers crisp,
white light into two adjacent trailer beds using only 80 watts of
electricity. This sytem can replace the fixture heads existing in
docklight arms usually within 30 minutes.
Because this
fixture is impact resistant, a direct impact to the fixture will not
extinguish the light because the lamp is located in the illuminator
that is positioned away from the fixture. Also, the loading dock work
area remains clean and safe and the sensitive areas for off-loading
food can be safeguarded against being contaminated by broken glass.
The
Durable Docklight can reduce energy use by 60 %. This fixture emits
light but has no heat or electricity. Conventional dock lights relamp
approximately every 1,000 hours due to breakage or burnout. The Durable
Docklight lasts for 10,000 hours resulting in a 95 % reduction in lamp
maintenance!

New LED Pane Installation
Magic
Lite's new LED PANES were installed at several Laurentian Bank branches
in and around the Montreal area. In the application illustrated here, a
total of twelve LED PANES were mounted in a custom frame, creating a
unique architectural feature.
Each individual LED PANE is 60 cm by 60 cm and only 14.5 cm thick. Electrical specifications are as follows:
- Input Voltage: AC100-240V
- Operating Voltage: DC12V
- Operating Current: 2.8A at 12V
- Max. Power: 33.6W
- All twelve of the LED PANES are powered by a single controller.
There
are a total of 288 LED's in each PANE - each LED is positioned at a
certain specific angle to the inner surface of the milky white cover.
Light emitted is reflected to provide a colour-mixed light through the
cover. The LED PANES are capable of a multitude of colour changing
effects such as single direction fast or slow, double direction fast or
slow, multi colour chase to name a few.
