New Hardwire Drivers for LED Shelf Star and LED MiniDisc Light

Up until now, the LED Shelf Star and LED MiniDisc Light have only been available with 60 watt drivers.  In smaller installations, these drivers are much larger in capacity than what is required for the job.  We are pleased to announce the launch of two smaller 25 watt drivers which mount in a standard electrical box (included with the drivers) allowing for hardwire to the fixtures.  This greatly reduces cost for smaller installations and eliminates the need to hide the larger drivers.

Model numbers are LEDDR-12-25W-HW for the LED MiniDisc Light which powers up to  40 fixtures,  and LEDSH-24-25W for the LED Shelf Star which powers up to 54 LEDs of any combination of the three available sizes.  These units are in stock and available for shipping.

Magic Lite Now In Our 25th Year and Stronger Than Ever

Having survived two previous recessions, the team at Magic Lite felt prepared to take on the next one, however I must admit the ominous and sometimes frightening media reports about the great recession of 2009 had us and many of our peers wondering exactly what was in store. It now appears that the worst may be over and even the media are having a hard time coming up with any more doomsday reports.

We are extremely happy and proud to report that in spite of the economic turmoil, Magic Lite posted a healthy year over year growth in sales for our fiscal year end June 30th.  More importantly, the vast majority of our stocking distributors showed solid sales gains in the Magic Lite core products that they have invested in inventories.

We have also been undaunted in the continuing task of new product introductions – most notably the recent launch of our LED Task Light.  Incredibly, as the recession of 2009 draws to an end, our balance sheet is in extremely good shape and sales continue to grow.

We are extremely grateful for the continued support of the distributors who stock and promote the Magic Lite brand of products and to the specifiers and contactors who continue to use our products for their lighting challenges.  Our commitment is to continue with our introduction of Innovative Lighting Solutions in the coming years and the strong support of our customers.

We look forward to continuing to serve you better than ever!

New LED MiniDisc Light Concrete Form

Magic Lite has modified our concrete form for our LED MiniDisc Light allowing installers to mount one end of the form onto a standard “T” type junction box if they are running the connecting cable from fixture to fixture in conduit.

This will greatly simplify concrete pour installations reducing overall costs significantly.  Water tight connections are still achieved inside the actual LED MiniDisc Light fixture, however, the ability to simply mount the concrete form directly onto a box will make the installers life much easier.  These new units should be available for shipping by late November.  There will be no change to product code.
