Magic Lite presents Surface Star. An extremely versatile, compact LED fixture suitable for a large variety of applications. Made of cast aluminum, LED Surface Star is extremely robust and is completely sealed so it can be used indoors or outdoors. At just 1.2 watts, each fixture is stingy on power and strong on light emission – powerful enough as a light source for shelf or counter lighting or as a point source for building outlines! Each fixture comes with molded quick connectors for easy installation and our various lengths of joiner cables allow you to space the fixtures exactly where you want them.
High Power LED's
- High power LEDs, such as Luxeon® and CREE are operated with constant dc current, and are always connected in series.
- There are a minimum and maximum number of LEDs allowable in a series chain, depending upon the driver selected.
- Multiple LED products are internally connected in series, ready to connect directly to a suitable driver. Multiple LED
products can themselves be connected in series, taking account of the total number of LEDs in the series chain.
- Power LEDs run at two current levels i.e. 350mA and 700mA depending upon required performance and environmental
operating conditions.
- LEDs can be dimmed. Dimming drivers use one of three techniques i.e. Potentiometer,
0-10Vdc analogue signal or DMX digital control.
- Weatherproof (IP rated) drivers are available for exterior or wet locations.
Crescent Modules (Low power LEDs)
- Non dimmable.
- There are a minimum and maximum number of LEDs allowable in a series chain, depending upon the driver selected.
- Lower power LED products are connected in parallel.
- They use a constant voltage supply of 24Vac (or dc).
- To establish suitable supply (transformer), simply add the individual VA ratings of the products in a circuit, and choose the next highest transformer VA rating.
